The Assistant Director of CFSS assists the Director with the leadership and management of the Division. The Assistant Director assists with the implementation, review and revision of Divisional practices and compliance with funder and licensing standards. They work collaboratively with agency and divisional leadership to identify challenges and opportunities and generate solutions intended to sustain the financial viability of LUK’s mentoring and intervention services. The Assistant Director will provided high quality supervision and management of staff in order to enhance the provision of our services.

Responsibilities Include

  • Assists with management and operation of the CFSS division
  • Provide leadership to staff concerning program models, values, and purpose with a team-oriented philosophy
  • Interview, hire, and train new CFSS staff
  • Supervise and mentor staff, including evaluating and disciplining staff
  • Lead agency staff to ensure the successful innovation, development, implementation, and success of program outcomes
  • Develop mechanisms to promote consumer and community involvement within programs
  • Supporting agency partnerships and developing new linkages that will enhance CFSS programs and services
  • Grant writing and preparing reports to funders
  • Balance the needs of the division with solid fiscal management
  • Maintain strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders, including consumers, partner agencies, and funders
  • Ensure all programs comply with all licensing and regulatory requirements
  • Acquire a deep understanding and commitment to LUK’s Mission, Vision and Values and programming and advocacy

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Master’s Degree in Public Health, Human Services, or related field
  • 5 years of relevant experience, including program management
  • Experience with Positive Youth Development, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma Informed programming
  • Experience with State Agencies such as DDS, DMH, DPH and DCF
  • Linkages and knowledge of community resources
  • Strong grant writing experience
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Job Location
This position will lead programming throughout Central Massachusetts, with dedicated office space in LUK’s Main Office in Fitchburg, with access to office space in Worcester and Webster. The position will provide community-based services and supervision. Transportation required. Ability to work remotely on occasion.
