Description

The Financial Analyst will have an active role in the monthly reporting and analysis, ad hoc reporting, budgeting, forecasting and projections.

 

Job Summary:

The Financial Analyst will create and maintain complex financial models to analyze and track company financial data and be required to produce various reports as requested from top management for analysis and research of variances.

 

While this individual works independently on general assignments, they work under the direction of more senior staff on complex projects and analysis. The Financial Analyst will work with the Finance Manager to put process improvements in place.

 

The Financial Analyst will interpret complex financial data to determine present and future financial performance and key business drivers consistent with company policies.  

 

Ad hoc and cost model development will be key components for success.

Requirements

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist in the yearly budgeting process and monthly forecasting process

· Track expenses and revenues vs. budget and reforecast and analyze fluctuations

· Prepare monthly financial reports

· Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking

· Maintain budget and reforecast information in Adaptive Planning

· Assists with analyses, development of recommendations, regular statistical reporting.

· Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements

· Assist in the transformation of the financial reporting process from historical only data to real time actionable results through the    use of PowerBi and other ERP related reporting mechanisms.

· Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed

· Audit monthly financial records to identify price discrepancies, budget inaccuracies or cost savings beneficial to the overall financial success of the company 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics required

· Minimum of 3 years experience in reporting, consolidation and financial analysis.

· Experience in retail/food & beverage industry a plus

· Accounting/GAAP knowledge

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel & PowerBI)

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow through skills

· Ability to complete projects timely and accurately critical

· Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills

· Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment

· Workday Adaptive Planning experience a plus but not necessary

 

Requirements: 

  1. Strong analytical, verbal and written skills, Accounting experience a plus
  2. The Financial Analyst must be a self-starter, motivated individual that can work in a fast paced and ever changing environment. 
  3. Candidate should possess a solid working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access,      PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  4. Candidate should have solid data management and reporting experience through the use of Microsoft office tools; V lookups,      pivot tables, MS access or other data bases, familiar with macros, queries, etc.
  5. Candidate must have PowerBI experience
