We are seeking an experienced software applications developer to join our growing IT team.  In this role you will be responsible for the development of new and legacy software systems and processes.  This new team member would also analyze existing company systems and processes to find areas of improvement, as well as conduct feasibility studies to support plans for a new ERP deployment in the future.

Responsibilities for IT Applications Developer

  1. Collaborates with customers to identify solution requirements and deliverables.
  2. Hands-on involvement in all phases of applications development, including planning, design and implementation.
  3. Works with some supervision; uses some creativity and latitude to solve problems.
  4. Provides ongoing application and user support throughout the life of the application.
  5. Employ best practices in software development and architecture.

Qualifications for IT Applications Developer

  1. Competence with C#, .NET, Visual Studio, MVC, WinForms, Restful Services, Javascript, jQuery and other relevant development tools; Experience with Umbraco preferred.
  2. Competence with relational databases (i.e. MS SQL Server, etc.)
  3. Demonstrated abilities in timely delivery of quality software product
  4. Self-starter and Capable of debugging and diagnosing existing applications
  5. Capable of designing solutions, defining specs, creating documentation, assessing project timelines, and reviewing code with limited supervision or assistance.
  6. Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.

Education, Experience and Licensing Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or relevant field; equivalent experience is acceptable
  2. 5+ years of experience in software development
  3. Experienced in successfully negotiating and collaborating with others of different skill sets, backgrounds and levels within and external to the organization.
  4. Experience with analyzing business process information and correlating into software solutions.
  5. Development of transactional data systems using various technologies and platforms.
  6. Development using object-oriented software design, implementation.
