Job Description
A classroom teacher in ASRSD will implement engaging lessons that develop student understanding in a supportive classroom environment that fosters student belonging. This position is .4 FTE, teaching one preschool classroom daily. The hours will be 8:25 am to 11:25 am.

 

  • Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with Massachusetts curriculum standards using district-assigned curricular materials
  • Assess student progress through various methods and use the information to adjust instruction
  • Provide an equitable classroom environment by effectively meeting the individual needs of all students
  • Regularly communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior.
  • Collaborate with peers and participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational best practices.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the building administration
 
Position Type: Part-time
Salary: $22,172 to $44,379 Per Year

Job Requirements
  • MA DESE licensure in Early Childhood, Pk-2
  • MA DESE licensure in Moderate Disabilities
  • Master's Degree or Bachelor’s Degree
  • SEI endorsement
  • Previous experience with age and/or subject preferred
  • Specific experiences as necessary (e.g., Technology proficiency) preferred
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
