Road Service Technician

Reports To:  Operations Manager   

Labor Classification:  Non-Exempt  

Regular Work Schedule:  7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday  

 

Position Summary:  

Triumph Modular is seeking a Road Service Technician to join a highly motivated operations team. This individual should have strong communication and interpersonal skills. This role requires the ability to multitask in a fast-moving environment while maintaining our quality standards, using the most cost-effective methods to make the clearing, demo, changeovers, retrofitting, and upgrades to Triumph’s units.    

 

Core Functions and Responsibilities:   

  • Responds to service calls for office trailers, office buildings, and containers throughout New England as needed.
  • To perform heating and cooling service calls, which could be but are not limited to BARD and thru-wall cooling units.
  • To deliver and repair temporary stairs for modular and mobile office units.
  • Ensures all tasks are performed promptly and cost-effectively, consistent with established operations procedures and requirements.
  • Operate any company vehicle and equipment in a safe, appropriate manner.
  • Responsible for adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensures the availability and proper condition of labor materials.
  • Ensure all tasks, whether a building to go on rent or a company initiative, are completed promptly.
  • Assist in developing methods of readying office trailers/modular buildings to reduce service calls.
  • Maintain and keep an inventory of all necessary parts and equipment.
  • Performs minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical assessments and troubleshooting. 
  • To accurately report daily service calls, including well-written descriptions of all completed work for backup billing. 
  • Provide aid to Shop Technicians: i.e. assist in readying building and quality control for units to go on rent.
  • Ability to deliver and install ancillary items (VAPS), i.e., desks, chairs, file cabinets, whiteboards, walls, stairs, ramps, etc. 
  • *Other Duties as assigned. 

 

Requirements and Qualifications:   

High School Diploma or equivalent  

  • 3-5 years of relevant/ related type work
  • Excellent driving record 
  • Pass DOT Med card  

 

Physical Requirement:  

  • Able to lift 50lbs or more 
  • Able to bend, twist, climb ladders, and get into awkward positions while maintaining equipment. 
  • Ability to work in a high noise and dust level environment. 

 

Certifications:  

  • OSHA 10 
  • HVAC certification is preferred
