We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Superintendent to lead the construction efforts for a new dormitory and staff housing project in Central Massachusetts. As the on-site administrative and technical manager, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and overseeing all construction activities, from self-perform labor to subcontractors and consultants. This position is anticipated to last 10-12 months and has the possibility of longer-term employment if desired. Our ideal candidate should possess a minimum of five years of experience in commercial construction or redevelopment projects, hold a MA CSL License, and have a strong background in occupational health and safety. Responsibilities:

  • Spearheading site coordination amongst trades and acting as the site leader.
  • Accurately document preconstruction/construction activities and communicate between project team disciplines.
  • Development and maintenance of job site safety and quality program.
  • Development and adherence to the project schedule and budget.
  • Conduct weekly coordination meetings
  • Generation of weekly construction reports
  • Estimate project costs/ due diligence planned projects
  • Provide support and guidance throughout new project origination

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in the commercial construction/redevelopment projects.
  • MA CSL License (Strongly preferred)
  • Occupational Health and Safety certification 
  • Must be detail-oriented and have strong project management skills and ability to multitask
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team-based setting
  • Self-driven, works well independently
  • Basic computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; associate or college degree preferred
