    Schedule: Full Time (40 hours/week) | Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm | June 1, 2025 – September 1, 2025 
     

    Looking to spend your summer outdoors, stay active, and make a real impact on your community? Join Devens Public Works & Recreation team as a Summer Maintenance & Grounds Staff Member! This is the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, being outside, and supporting community events.


    What You'll Do

    ·       Work full-time between May and August to help keep Devens looking at its best. Length of assignment is negotiable

    ·       Support the upkeep of parks, facilities, roads, and community buildings.

    ·       Mow lawns, line trim, weed, and perform general landscaping tasks.

    ·       Help prepare fields for games and events — think layout, lining, setup, breakdown, trash removal and more.

    ·       Provide support for community events during weekdays and weekends

    ·       Operate department vehicles and equipment

    ·       Jump in where needed


    What We’re Looking For

    ·       You’re at least 18 years old.

    ·       You have a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and a clean driving record.

    ·       You know how to interact with the public in a professional manner.

    ·       You can lift/move up to 25 lbs. and are comfortable with physical, outdoor work.

    ·       You have basic knowledge of tools and safe operation of maintenance equipment.

    ·       You’re reliable, self-motivated, and can work both solo and with a team.

    ·       You’re open to occasional weekend work and have a positive, can-do attitude.
