RFK Community Alliance has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Stable & Facility Operations position to join our Therapeutic Horsemanship Center in Lancaster MA!
 
Who We Seek:
We’re looking for a reliable, experienced individual with a variety of skills to provide direct animal care and to perform various repairs, groundskeeping, and seasonal projects to ensure that the facility is safe, in excellent working order, and presentable. The ideal candidate will have experience working on a farm, managing the care of horses, significant maintenance work, technical skills, and the capability to operate motorized equipment.
 
Responsibilities
• Perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices,
procedures, and standards safely with minimal supervision.
• Provide daily care to the equines and small animals, including feeding and maintaining the
stall/barn cleanliness.
• Complete seasonal projects.
• Complete repairs and maintenance projects
• Maintain grounds including lawn mowing, trimming, edging, and general facility
upkeep.
• Complete regular preventative maintenance tasks and inspections.
• Assist with snow removal.
• Receive animal feed, hay, shavings, and other related products.
• Manage loading, unloading, and storing supplies.
• Communicate with trade vendors to coordinate the delivery of bulk products.
• Collaborate with the Building and Grounds Department as needed to coordinate services
and support as needed to meet the operational needs of the facility.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience working on an equestrian facility or working farm.
• 3+ years’ experience as a maintenance worker or similar position.
• Experience working with landscaping equipment and proficient in the use of hand and
power tools.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Valid driver's license.
