POSITION TITLE:              Maintenance Technician
DEPARTMENT:                   Maintenance
JOB TYPE:                            FULL-TIME, NON-EXEMPT

 

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and continuous operation of production and facility equipment. This role requires hands-on mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance skills, as well as the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve equipment issues in a timely and safe manner.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on production and building equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
  • Repair and maintain machinery including saws, routers, compressors, boilers, and hand/power tools.
  • Disassemble equipment to replace worn or defective parts using hand and power tools.
  • Assist with the installation, relocation, and setup of new or existing equipment.
  • Perform carpentry and general building maintenance as needed.
  • Lubricate machinery per scheduled intervals to ensure consistent operation.
  • Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mechanical, electrical, or facilities maintenance role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical components, and plumbing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Bilingual and/or machinist skills a plus.
