Nicholas Lawler Installed as APPA Board Chair
Nicholas Lawler, general manager of Littleton Electric Light and Water in Littleton, Massachusetts, was installed as chair of the American Public Power Association Board of Directors during APPA’s National Conference in San Diego, Calif., on June 12.
"It’s an honor to be installed today as APPA chair. And as a general manager of a small municipal light plant in Littleton, Massachusetts, I know not all of you come from small light plants but that's a big part of our membership. And it's an important part of our membership," Lawler said.
"I'm particularly grateful for the trust that you placed in me. And I'm thrilled about the next year. As we gather at the 2024 National Conference I'm filled with a sense of excitement and a sense of responsibility for the path that lies ahead. I deeply appreciate the tireless efforts that you all make on behalf of the communities you serve. Together, we are the life blood across this great nation, powering homes, businesses and dreams with reliable and affordable electricity. It's a privilege to work alongside you as we embark on this journey together," he said.
APPA board members are chosen to represent 10 regions across the country.
