Middlesex West Chamber to Close its Doors, Nashoba Valley Chamber Steps in to Support Local Businesses

New Members

After serving the communities of Boxborough, Acton, Boxborough, Maynard, Stow, Carlisle, and Concord since 1980, the Middlesex West Chamber of Commerce (MWCoC) has made the difficult decision to close its doors.  The Middlesex West Chamber's Board of Directors, in collaboration with the Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce (NVCoC), is ensuring that MWCoC's long-time members are seamlessly integrated into the wider business community.

"This is a bittersweet moment for many of us," said Melissa Fetterhoff, President and CEO of the Nashoba Valley Chamber. "For years, our two Chambers have been great neighbors, sharing resources, hosting joint events, and supporting each other’s success. We are truly honored that the MWCoC Board has chosen the Nashoba Valley Chamber to continue supporting these local businesses, and we welcome them to our growing family."

As part of the process, members of the MWCoC will be invited to join the Nashoba Valley Chamber, gaining access to a broad network of businesses, professional development opportunities, and exclusive events. This transition is expected to take some time, and the Nashoba Valley Chamber requests patience as they work to integrate these businesses.

"We are excited to see this as an opportunity to expand our community and connect even more businesses across the region," added Fetterhoff. "We have already seen the support from many of our current members, including Kristin Bullwinkel of Bullwinkel Law Group, who has been an active member of the Nashoba Valley Chamber for over a decade. Kristin has shared her encouragement for the MWCoC members to take full advantage of the NVCoC's resources and welcoming network. We’re excited for what lies ahead."

Jamie Conaghan, Chair of the NVCoC Board of Directors and Senior Vice President Marketing & Digital at Main Street Bank, shared; “While Main Street Bank was not a direct member of the Middlesex West Chamber, we’ve always believed in the importance of supporting local business communities. The transition of MWCoC’s members to the Nashoba Valley Chamber is a positive step forward for all of us in the region. The Nashoba Valley Chamber has long been a cornerstone of support for businesses across the area, and I have no doubt that the MWCoC members will find continued strength, resources, and collaboration in this new chapter.”

Kristin Bullwinkel, who has been a member of both Chambers, shared her thoughts: "While I am sad to see the MWCoC closing, the MWCoC members are so fortunate to be able to transfer to NVCoC! I’d be happy to connect with anyone to share my experience and show them how wonderful our Chamber community is. We’re fortunate to have such a vibrant and welcoming group here at Nashoba Valley."

As the New Year begins and we look forward to 2025, the Nashoba Valley Chamber is thrilled to welcome new members and work together to help all businesses in the region grow and thrive.
