IC Credit Union Deepens Longstanding Partnership with Habitat for Humanity North Central Massachuset

New Members

Habitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts (Habitat NCM) today announced that IC Credit Union has become a Legacy Partner, marking a significant new chapter in a relationship built over many years of community investment, volunteerism and shared commitment to local families. The partnership between the two organizations is a natural fit as both serve the community with housing solutions and are focused on helping residents build generational wealth.

IC Credit Union has long been an active Habitat NCM supporter and corporate volunteer partner. Its employees have contributed time, energy and hands-on service alongside Habitat, while the organizations’ leadership teams have developed a longstanding relationship grounded in trust, community service and a shared belief in the importance of stable housing.

The move to Legacy Partner significantly strengthens that relationship. Habitat NCM’s Legacy Partnership is its highest level of corporate engagement, designed for companies seeking to make a substantial, sustained commitment to increasing and maintaining affordable homeownership in our region.

Christopher Hendry, CEO and President, IC Credit Union

“IC Credit Union’s relationship with Habitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts has grown over many years because we have seen firsthand what this organization makes possible for local families and communities. Our team has had the privilege of volunteering alongside Habitat, meeting the people behind the mission and experiencing the impact of this work in a very personal way. Becoming a Legacy Partner is a natural next step for us — one that reflects our belief that investing in housing, stability and opportunity strengthens the entire community. We are proud to deepen this partnership and to stand with Habitat for the work ahead.”

Carolyn Read, Executive Director, Habitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts

“IC Credit Union represents the very best of what a corporate partnership can be. They have been part of the Habitat NCM family for years — helping to fund new homes and also stepping up to help build homes as well. Our relationship has been built over time on trust, shared values and a mutual commitment to the community. Their decision to become a Legacy Partner takes that relationship to an extraordinary new level. This kind of sustained corporate leadership allows Habitat to think bigger, serve more families and create impact that lasts for generations.”

Through the Legacy Partnership, IC Credit Union will have expanded opportunities to engage with Habitat NCM’s mission through employee involvement, community events, impact reporting, key project milestones and other partnership activities. The relationship is designed to create value on both sides: providing IC Credit Union with meaningful opportunities to engage employees and demonstrate community leadership while giving Habitat NCM the sustained support needed to plan and build for the future.
