Applewild School Receives Transformational Gifts and Completes the “Applewild Forever” Campaign

New Members

Dear Applewild Community,

Thanks to the support of our community and a lot of sustained hard work, we have some wonderful news to share. I’ve attached the press release that will soon be sent out. Our momentum is exciting, and while we still have a lot of work to do, it is important that we acknowledge substantial progress. We continue to look for funding to complete the new soccer and lacrosse fields, replace mechanicals in Ansin & Marshall, construct a new playground, and replace the lighting and sound systems in our theater. The standards we set for ourselves are high, so we are never “done” strengthening our beloved Applewild.

It takes many hands to sustain a vibrant school, and I am grateful beyond measure for the support we have from philanthropists, families, alumni, students, faculty, and staff. Truly, we are one large extended family dedicated to the development of the next generation. We have so much to be thankful for, and we look forward to sending you an invitation to our grand opening celebrations for the Athletic & Wellness Center next Fall.

Applewild School Receives Transformational Gifts and Completes the “Applewild Forever” Campaign

Central Massachusetts — [May 27, 2026]

Applewild School proudly announces the conclusion of the highly successful Applewild Forever Capital Campaign. The Campaign was designed to secure resources necessary to advance the School’s mission: to nurture curious learners and empower them to lead with confidence, courage, and humanity. Through this campaign, Applewild has significantly enhanced its campus and program offerings:

  • A 50,000-square-foot Athletic & Wellness Center featuring two basketball courts, a six-lane indoor pool, golf simulator, squash courts, strength and conditioning lab, yoga/dance studio, visiting team facilities, commercial laundry, and a new student center
  • A permanently endowed supporting fund of $10,000,000 to sustain the School’s ongoing operations and scholarship programs.
  • An 18,000-square-foot dormitory accommodating 40 students in grades 3–9, along with six faculty apartments
  • Acquisition of a 14-acre adjacent property with nature trails and expanded faculty housing opportunities
  • Phase I of the construction of two soccer and lacrosse fields
  • Renovation of the historic 1912 Crocker House, including updated classrooms and professional office spaces
  • A fully renovated Early Childhood Learning Center serving infants through prekindergarten
  • Addition of a GEM6 six-seat electric vehicle for campus tours

“We are so grateful for the support our community has given us,” said Head of School Amy Jolly. “Tuition alone does not cover the full cost of educating a child, so philanthropic support and the income from our endowment are essential to fulfilling our mission. These transformative additions ensure that Applewild continues to deliver an exceptional educational experience while adapting to the evolving needs of today’s families.”

Applewild is a thriving independent school in Central Massachusetts, known for academic excellence and preparing students for highly selective secondary schools. “Our graduates routinely matriculate to Middlesex School, Concord Academy, Deerfield Academy, Phillips Academy Andover, Kent School, Cushing Academy, Lawrence Academy, and many other outstanding schools,” said Jolly.

Serving over 350 students from infancy through the ninth grade who hail from over 25 local communities, as well as a dozen states and countries. The School has 70 dormitory beds, which allows Applewild to offer convenient weekday and full-week residential options for students in grades three through nine.

“At Applewild, we educate children during the most formative years of their lives,” Jolly added. “It is a privilege to help students become the best versions of themselves.”

The School’s innovative curriculum emphasizes both academic rigor and personal growth. Students benefit from a wide range of opportunities, including early childhood art programs, 11 levels of math instruction through precalculus in middle school, a public speaking program, and leadership development activities.

Opening Fall 2026, the new Athletic & Wellness Center will further expand programming, with offerings such as swim instruction beginning in prekindergarten, a USA Swim swim team, squash, futsal, badminton, yoga, golf, volleyball, and continued strength in basketball, soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, ultimate frisbee, and cross country.

“Our students engage in a daily sports program that promotes confidence, resilience, and well-being. In most schools, children are not getting enough exercise, and athletics teach persistence and leadership,” said Jolly. “We prioritize our students’ wellbeing.”

“Applewild students are undeniably academic, but they also love sports,” added Board President Will Aubuchon. “These new facilities allow us to attract families seeking high-level athletics without compromising academic excellence.”

With the successful completion of the Applewild Forever Capital Campaign, Applewild School is well-positioned to continue its legacy of excellence for generations to come.

With profound gratitude,

Amy Jolly
