About Us

A children's museum with emphasis on hands-on exploration of science and nature through play, Discovery Museum serves nearly 250,000 children and adults from across the region every year--both at its 4.5-acre Museum campus in Acton and through outreach programs to 2,800 school classrooms annually. Discovery Museum is a recipient of the 2024 federal IMLS National Medal for Museum Service, the highest honor in the Museum industry, recognizing extraordinary service, reach, and impact, and leadership in the field.
