ELECTRICAL PROJECT MANAGER

Overview:

DMH Electric Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our dynamic team. As an industry-leading electrical firm, we specialize in providing top-notch electrical solutions to commercial, industrial, and residential clients. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of commercial, industrial, and residential electrical systems while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Coordination:
    • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and internal stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and requirements.
    • Work with the Estimating team to establish all objectives for the project, including timelines, budgets, assumptions, and takeoffs. Coordinate and lead an internal handoff meeting. 
    • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring they align with client expectations and company standards.
    • Coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and resources required for successful project execution.
  • Team Leadership and Management:
    • Lead a team of skilled electrical professionals, including electricians, technicians, and subcontractors, by providing clear direction, guidance, and support.
    • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure team members are equipped with the necessary resources to carry out their responsibilities efficiently.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that promotes innovation, safety, and quality.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
    • Implement and enforce industry best practices, safety regulations, and company policies throughout all project phases.
    • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets the highest standards and adheres to relevant codes and regulations.
  • Budget and Cost Control:
    • Establish a schedule of values for each project and do monthly financial reporting on the project. Including maintaining a Work in progress number that accurately reflects the job. 
    • Monitor project expenses, labor costs, and material usage to maintain budget compliance.
    • Identify potential cost-saving measures and efficient resource allocation without compromising project quality.
  • Client Communication and Relationship Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the project lifecycle, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly.
    • Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and foster opportunities for future collaborations.
  • Risk Management:
    • Proactively identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent delays and setbacks.
    • Implement contingency plans when necessary to address unforeseen challenges.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and other relevant records.
    • Regularly update senior management on project status, achievements, and challenges.
    • Providing customers, contractors, building officials, and more with all documentation that is requested.
