The Ayer Shirley Regional Emergency Communications Center (ASRECC) is accepting applications for one (1) Full-Time Public Safety Dispatcher.
Position Overview
The Public Safety Dispatcher is a vital member of the Ayer Shirley Regional Emergency Communications Center. Dispatchers receive and document all communications from 911, the public, and Police, Fire, and EMS agencies. This position is responsible for the initial deployment of personnel and equipment in accordance with departmental policies and sound judgment. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred, but not required, candidates will possess Total Response EMD, MA NG911 and DCJIS certifications, as well as dispatch and IMC CAD software experience. Any training will be provided by the Department.
Selection Requirements
Candidates must complete and pass: an oral interview, comprehensive background investigation, and drug screening. Candidates who are selected must also complete and pass the Department’s Training Program and one-year probationary period.
Compensation & Benefits
 

  • Starting Salary ( after training) is $29.30/hr – 33.06/hr (depending on experience)
  • 4/2 schedule
  • 6% / 8% shift differential
  • 6% / 10% / 14% education incentive
