SUMMARY

The primary responsibilities of the Community Engagement & PR Manager will be to take a leadership role in driving the bank’s overall community efforts across our marketplace, promoting internally and publicly the message of the bank’s LifeDesign brand vision. These efforts include administration of all sponsorships and donations; coordinating all bank-involved or bank-led community events; leading various colleague volunteerism programs; leading the promotion, tracking, and reporting of all activities; and assisting the bank’s overall public relations efforts. 

This individual will have an established profile in the community along with strong ties to local markets and a deep network of relationships with key stakeholders in the community such as area non-profits, Chambers of Commerce, and governments. While this role will serve as a recognized ambassador for the Bank, its primary responsibility will be to help activate and optimize the community involvement of all the bank’s colleagues. 

 

  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Develop and manage goals, strategies, and guidelines for charitable giving, sponsorships, volunteerism, events, community partnerships, and programs that are aligned with the Bank’s strategic objectives.

· Collaborates and builds relationships with community organizations, economic development arms, and other non-profits to connect in a LifeDesign way our bankers to the community. 

· Help to advance the mission and goals of the Bank through community and charitable activities and endeavors. 

· Build and maintain internal partnerships with business line leaders to ensure active participation by colleagues in various community events, programs, board and committee assignments, etc.

· Lead efforts to identify donations, sponsorship and community outreach programs that will align with the Bank’s CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) responsibilities.

· Administration of the bank’s Sponsorship and Donations including: all documenting, tracking, and reporting via the bank’s community software, Kadince; overseeing the decisioning process; budget management; payment processing; all communications, follow-up, and follow through; and ensuring bank receives all benefits related to sponsorships. 

· Management of community and bank sponsored events including partner coordination, branding/giveaways, and ensuring bank receives all benefits related to events. 

· Manages attendance at all events, making sure that the leaders in the market are represented.

· Regularly represents the bank at community events and activities in the marketplace.

· Develop, plan, implement, and manage relevant special events and programs of high-impact and high-visibility within the community, including signature events such as our annual Economic Forecast Breakfast.

· Organize community outreach programs and coordinate special events that will positively influence public opinion of the Bank and its LifeDesign brand. 

· Membership in CRA or other applicable, related committees

· Work closely with bank’s CRA Officer/Team and be responsible for CRA activities relating to sponsorships and donations. 

· Regularly track, measure, and report to management impacts of charitable efforts and activities.

· Build and maintain strong and productive relationships with members of the community.

· As a member of the marketing department, collaborate with colleagues to coordinate and promote all community activities and build public relations activities.

· Develop and maintain an internal communications program for the benefit of colleagues that highlights community engagement efforts. 

· Be the point person and respond to all inquiries from community members and other interested parties.

· Administer the intake and response to all requests from employees and community members for all community-related items such as charitable donations, event participation, financial education, and Ice Cream truck.

· Serve in leadership position on various boards or committees for community-focused organizations and non-profits.

· Assist in the management of the bank’s ice cream truck, The Frosty Flyer. 

· Assist Marketing in the overall implementation of the bank’s public relations efforts.

· Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field. 

· Five+ years’ experience in public relations or related field.

· Must be detailed-oriented, demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, have a Servant Leadership mindset, and a commitment to outstanding service. 

· Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work extremely well as part of a team.

· Ability to evaluate cost of a program and compare it to the benefits for the organization.

· Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive, controversial, and confidential subjects with tact, kindness, and professionalism. 

· Ability to prioritize and multi-task.

· Capable of applying influence across a range of stakeholders. 

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 

· Familiarity with SmartSheet and Kadince software preferred.
