The NRWA invites you to join us for our speaker series “Climate Impact in the Nashua River Watershed: What is Happening and Actions We Can Take”, five Zoom presentations that are free and open to the public. Each presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m., and will allow time for questions and answers, as well as discussion. Attend one, attend all. Registration is required to obtain Zoom links.
Wednesday, February 16 “Climate Change in the Nashua River Watershed” with Dr. Elizabeth Gordon, Earth and Geographic Sciences, and Dr. Christopher Picone, Ecology and Environmental Science, both professors from Fitchburg State University. Dr. Gordon will introduce observed and projected climatic changes in the watershed. Dr. Picone will address whether warming can initiate positive feedbacks to release carbon from forests, exacerbating the issue of rising temperatures. Register today.
