Often, when people speak about memory impairment, they generally use the terms “Alzheimer’s disease” or “dementia” as an umbrella for memory loss. The reality is that Alzheimer’s is just one specific dementia, and there are actually several common types of dementia that are known today. While there are similarities between all dementias, each is distinct and unique.
