The touching 1820s courtship of Jonathan Dodge Wheeler and Elisabeth Davenport blossoms back to life in a staged reading of the young couple’s love story during this special Saint Valentine’s Day event. Taken from cherished original correspondence between the two lovers, this theatrical reading recounts the daily joys and troubles of youth in the early nineteenth century and tender expressions of love and longing. Enjoy an intimate setting in the Tea Room as we celebrate Saint Valentine’s Day with savory treats, delectable desserts, delicious wine, and tokens of love.
