In this popular workshop, Hanka Robertson will teach participants how to draw on a plain white chicken egg with a special pen, known as a kystka, with melted wax, then color the egg with special dyes. The drawing and dyeing are repeated several times as each design layer is applied. All supplies are provided. Participants receive a short history of pysanky, instructions explaining the process, motifs and pictures for design inspiration, an explanation of how to care for the completed eggs, and a container to take the decorated eggs home.
