It's your time to play! Designed for the adult amateur musician. Engage with your peers in a fun and challenging ensemble program just for adults, in a relaxed setting. Work on musicality, listening, and balance with our accomplished teacher artists. For strings, winds, piano, harp, and guitar.
All participants will have the opportunity to play in two ensembles (trios, quartets, quintets) personally selected to match the musicians’ skill level and style preferences.
The program is geared towards the intermediate-advanced adult musician. While chamber music experience is not required, participants should have strong technical, rhythmic, and reading skills.
Tuition: $375
Scholarships are available for all Music School programs.
Placement Auditions: All new registrants will be scheduled for a 15-minute audition/placement interview with the program coordinator by June 5. Musicians who participated in SummerNightMusic in previous years do not need to audition, but will be contacted by the coordinator to discuss repertory and ensemble preferences. Registering early will allow time for the coordinator and coaches to select and distribute music to participants before the start of the program.
Absences: Students are allowed one absence during the program weeks (not August 9, 16 or 17).
Lessons: Preparatory lessons can be scheduled for musicians wishing to work through the technical and interpretive details of their assigned pieces prior to the start of the program. Please contact the School Manager to discuss placement and schedule. Lessons are not included in the SummerNightMusic tuition amount but will be billed separately.
Faculty: Tim Terranella, coordinator/strings
