New Members
Pregnancy provides a unique opportunity for partners to deepen and explore their bond. The transition of adding a new family member presents physical and emotional challenges; this workshop offers couples 2.5 hours to learn ways to support each other and face the future as a team. The teaching team includes two Prenatal professionals that will guide you through yoga, massage, and relaxation techniques.
Eleonora, our Certified Prenatal Yoga Instructor, will guide couples through yoga poses. Couples will work through poses together, enhancing the alignment of each pose, and facilitating a deeper understanding of the each pose. As the couple works through the poses together, the partner will increase their understanding of the physical needs of the expectant parent, as well as learn tools to relieve discomfort and support the birthing parent through pregnancy and labor. In addition, both participants will learn some breathing and meditation techniques to support each other throughout the journey of the perinatal period.
Brice, our Women's Health Licensed Massage Therapist, will bring massage techniques for the partner to support the expectant parent throughout the perinatal period, including pregnancy, labor and recovery. Brice's goal is to focus the strength of human touch during this period in an effective and safe way for both partners, including what areas to avoid in massage during pregnancy.
Both Eleonora and Brice will offer ideas and techniques for relaxation and emotional support throughout the time that we are together. Each couple will traverse the journey differently, but these tools will help to bring awareness to the importance of both physical and emotional support throughout pregnancy for both partners. These three hours will allow couples to pause and focus on only the birthing family’s well-being for this period of time, allowing the family unit to prepare for the coming changes.
Couples are welcome to sign up for 1, 2 or 3 workshops. One workshop is complete in itself, and signing up for additional workshops will only deepen the connection and understanding of the materials.
