Conversations of Grief & Healing ~ every 3rd Wednesday of each month starting February 2021
Join Karen of Grief & Healing Connections for presentation and discussion of topics of grief and healing. There will be opportunity for supportive group discussion regarding personal experiences of grief.

TOPICS
FEBRUARY: GRIEF FEELS WINTER Like winter, grief seems endless, cold and isolating. Join us for conversation about this experience and tools for managing grief. The discussion will include the importance of ritual and self- care.
MARCH: LIVING WITH GRIEF How do we continue our lives while grieving? Join us for conversation about the challenges of living our lives while grieving.
APRIL: MYTHS OF GRIEF & YOUR RIGHTS TO GRIEVE Join us as explore the myths versus reality of grief. We will also discuss your right to grieve your losses in your unique way.
MAY: ADULTS GRIEVING PARENTS. Adults of all ages grieve for parents of all ages. Grief does not have an age or time limit. As Mother’s and Father’s days approach, many of us experience grief for parents no longer present regardless of how long it has been. Sharing this experience often helps us on our grief journey.
JUNE: GRIEVING THE DIFFICULT RELATIONSHIPS Memories and feelings of a difficult relationship do not cease with death. Grief is often complicated by the reality of the difficult relationship versus the societal views of grief. This conversation will explore the complexities of grieving the difficult relationship.
JULY: PET LOSS The loss of our pets is a difficult, painful journey. This discussion will focus on your right to grieve your pet, how to honor your grief and the unique difficulties of this grief.
AUGUST: DISENFRANCHISED GRIEF. Join us as we explore the various types of losses and types of grieving that are often not recognized as “acceptable” or worthy of support. Recognizing that our grief is valid is an important step on the healing journey.
SEPTEMBER: WHEN GRIEF IS RELIEF We will discuss the various aspects of relief in relation to the grieving process. Some bereaved feel relief because a loved one is no longer suffering. Some are relieved that the relationship is no longer causing suffering. Join us as we explore that all grief is valid.
OCTOBER: TOOLS FOR HEALNG The grief journey has many challenges and surprises. Fortunately, there are also opportunities and options to assist us during the grief journey. This conversation will discuss options to manage the journey of healing.
NOVEMBER: CHANGES & CHOICES DURING THE HOLIDAYS Are you thinking “No No” instead of “Ho Ho”? The holidays bring more stress and decisions to consider. Do you follow tradition? Do you make changes? This month we will discuss options to consider regarding grief and the holidays.
DECEMBER: MANAGING GRIEF DURNG THE HOLIDAYS Planning and considering options are both recommended before a journey. For the grief journey, especially during the holidays, planning is recommended! Join us for conversation as we explore strategies for you as you experience grief and the holidays.
