Naturally curious, outdoor adventurous 8 to 11 year olds from Lunenburg and nearby communities are invited to attend the NRWA’s Eco-adventures program through the Lunenburg Park and Recreation Programs. Help spread the word to those who may have young people interested in this program.
When: Tuesday, August 15 thru Thursday, August 17 from 10am to noon
Where: The program will be held at a Lunenburg conservation area; location and directions will be shared upon registration.
What: The NRWA is pleased to team up with the Town of Lunenburg Park and Recreation Department to present a three day Eco-Adventures program. Our explorations are:
August 15 Animal Adventures
August 16 Aquatic Investigations
August 17 The World of Water
Each two-hour exploration will be filled with fascinating facts including how the North American Beaver and the Opossum are perfectly adapted to their environments, how scented pond lilies soak bees in sugar water to absorb pollen from their hairs, and how to check for pollution in water by studying insects like dragonflies and mayflies.
This is a drop off program; a minimum group size of 11 is needed to run the program.
Cost: $95 for residents; $95 for non-residents
