ABOUT THE ARTISTS: Special guest Billy Novick is internationally recognized as a musician, performer, arranger and composer. He has toured extensively throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, and has made spotlight appearances at numerous jazz and folk festivals. Billy has recorded 17 albums and has been featured as a sideman on over 250 recordings. As a composer, arranger or studio musician, his music has appeared in more than 100 television shows, commercials, and film scores, including “Seabiscuit.” His clarinet playing can be heard on the theme songs of the popular PBS shows "Antiques Roadshow" and "This Old House."
Indian Hill Music School faculty member Berit Strong has performed solo guitar and chamber music throughout New England and Europe. One of her biggest accomplishments was performing the lead guitar part in the 2016 Boston University Opera production of “Angels in America” by modern Hungarian composer Peter Eotvoes. She also offered a solo concert at Indian Hill featuring the legacy and repertoire of the great Andres Segovia. Berit has performed in numerous masterclasses with Oscar Ghiglia, and in Milan, Italy, with musicologist and conservatory professor Ruggero Chiesa. She has been a guest lecturer at Boston Conservatory, Hartt School of Music, and Tufts University.
