The MassHire North Central Career Center invites you to attend a presentation by The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) – October 15th at 1PM.
EEOC Overview for Businesses
October 15, 2020 1PM- 3PM
Masshire North Central Career Center –VIa WEBEX
The EEOC is responsible for enforcing federal laws that make it illegal to discriminate against a job applicant or an employee because of the person's race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetic information. Most employers with at least 15 employees are covered by EEOC laws- most labor unions and employment agencies are also covered.
EEOC also works to prevent discrimination before it occurs through outreach, education and technical assistance programs. Any employer with questions about the laws enforced by EEOC or about compliance with those laws in specific workplace situations should attend this workshop at the North Central Career Center.
This year’s “hot issues” for EEOC will include COVID-19 and the Black Lives Matter movement.
To receive a Webex invite, please RSVP, by October 13th, to spercifull@ccncm.com or 978-534-1481 X209
