Chair Yoga with Carin

Chair Yoga is a practice performed sitting in a chair or standing up (using the chair for support). This class offers all the benefits of a traditional yoga class, but with modified poses.
Class begins with a grounding exercise, tuning in to the breath to relax both the mind and body. We will ease into movements to warm the body, followed by poses and movements to stretch and strengthen muscles, while increasing flexibility and range of motion. Coordinated movements will build on proprioception. Chair Yoga is incredibly beneficial for all, considering how much time we spend seated (whether we are on a plane, doing puzzles, driving, crafting, reading, sewing, watching television, at a desk job, and the list goes on!). If you have yoga blocks and a mat, you are welcome to bring those along!
This class meets from 1:30-2:45 pm on Tuesdays. Please register for the first session, but plan on attending all four in the series. THIS CLASS IS FOR ALL AGES!
