Autumn Celebration: Family Adventure in Groton
Saturday, October 16 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
General Field Conservation Property, Groton, MA
Join NRWA Education Naturalists celebrating the natural world during this glorious fall season. General Fields Conservation Area offers a variety of habitats and open spaces for an engaging outdoor adventure with leaves, seeds, birds, and other treasures from nature to observe including a hands-on activity with autumn's colorful leaves. We’ll learn how to identify what we see, and how all of the plants and animals are interconnected in the web of life. Along with planned hands-on activities, there will be time for safe, quiet exploration and discovery in beautiful natural settings. Activities are appropriate for families with young children ages 2 - 12 years, backpack babies are welcome! Program is free; reservations required as space is limited. For the comfort of all, no dogs are allowed. We will continue to follow specific Covid protocols including families maintaining six foot distances and masks when needed during our time together. To register, please email Registration@NashuaRiverWatershed.org, and provide your first and last name, number of people in your group, ages of any children, and your best phone contact number. This free program is made possible by a grant from the Groton Trust Funds’ Lecture Fund.
