A Legacy of Leadership: Honoring David Hinckley Sr. and Welcoming Our Next Chapter

New Members

After 35 years of dedicated service, leadership, and unwavering commitment to excellence, David Hinckley Sr. will officially retire from DMH Electric on March 31, 2026.

On April 1, 2026, David Hinckley Jr. will assume the role of President of DMH Electric, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our company.

This transition represents both a celebration of an extraordinary legacy and a confident step forward into the future.

Celebrating 35 Years of Commitment and Craftsmanship

Since 1991, David Hinckley Sr. has been a driving force behind DMH Electric’s growth and reputation. David Sr. started the business with Tim O’Toole, and what began as a small, local electrical operation grew into one of New England’s most trusted electrical contractors, serving Massachusetts and expanding into New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine.

For three and a half decades, David Sr. and Tim built this company on principles that remain at the core of everything we do:

  • Do the job right the first time
  • Treat customers and employees with respect
  • Stand behind your work
  • Never compromise on safety or quality

Since Tim’s retirement in 2022, David Sr. has led DMH Electric, which expanded from just traditional residential and commercial electrical services into advanced electrification solutions, including EV charger installations, battery systems, and smart systems. His steady leadership positioned the company to adapt, evolve, and lead in an ever-changing industry.

More importantly, David Sr. built a culture. Today, DMH Electric employs more than 60 field professionals, supported by an outstanding operations team of 20+, all grounded in the values he instilled.

His impact will continue to be felt in every project we complete and every customer we serve.

Continuing the Legacy: Leading Through Modernization

Four years ago, David Hinckley Jr. joined DMH Electric full-time, bringing with him field and office construction experience along with a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a master’s in management from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Since joining, David Jr. has played a pivotal role in modernizing and strengthening the company. He has:

  • Expanded and structured DMH Electric’s EV charging and electrification division
  • Strengthened operational systems, including implementing technology systems across the office and field.
  • Improved estimating accuracy and business development efforts.
  • Supported partnership growth across the region.
  • Elevated the overall customer experience through clearer communication and streamlined workflows.

Most recently, he helped lead the company’s rebrand, aligning our identity with the direction of the industry and the future of electrification. Our new slogan — “Modern Power. Trusted Service.” — reflects exactly who we are.

Modern Power represents our commitment to innovation, EV infrastructure, battery storage, advanced electrical systems, and forward-thinking solutions.

Trusted Service honors the 35-year foundation built by David Sr. and Tim, a reputation rooted in integrity, reliability, and quality workmanship.

As President effective April 1, 2026, David Jr. will continue building on that foundation while driving disciplined growth, operational excellence, and strategic expansion across New England.

This leadership transition represents continuity, not disruption. It reflects a company evolving with the times while remaining grounded in the values that built it.

The Future of DMH Electric

DMH Electric remains committed to delivering exceptional electrical services across New England, from residential services to large-scale commercial projects and forward-thinking energy projects.

With the continued support of our talented team, valued customers, and trusted partners, we look forward to:

  • Expanding our electrification capabilities
  • Building a stronger and larger service division
  • Investing in our employees and leadership development
  • Maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship
  • Continuing to serve our communities with integrity

March 31, 2026, will mark the close of an extraordinary leadership chapter. April 1, 2026, will mark the beginning of another.
