What You'll Do

Under the direction of the Food Service Manager, you'll help ensure high-quality meals are prepared and served safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

• Prepare and cook hot and cold meals using recipes, fresh ingredients, and established preparation methods.

• Prepare regular and modified diet meals according to dietary requirements.

• Ensure meals are nutritious, appealing, and consistently high quality.

• Coordinate food preparation to meet daily meal schedules.

• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, cooking, and food storage areas.

• Follow food safety standards, including proper cooking temperatures, storage, and prevention of cross-contamination.

• Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

• Help oversee Food Services operations in the absence of the Food Service Manager.

• Work collaboratively with Food Services colleagues and other hospital team members.

What We're Looking For

• Two years of training or experience in commercial, institutional, or large-scale food preparation.

• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and proper temperatures.

• Experience using commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens and mixers.

• Ability to follow recipes, written instructions, and food safety procedures.

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Food safety or sanitation certification preferred.

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-Time: 40 hours per week

• Shift: 10:00 AM–7:00 PM

• Pay Range: $20.00–$25.00 per hour, based on relevant experience
