Join our bartending team at Forge & Vine!
We feature a 25-seat bar, service bar, and a 156-seat fast-paced restaurant. We freshly squeeze all of our juices and provide training on our signature cocktail recipes. Our cocktail menu changes seasonally, giving you the opportunity to be part of developing new drinks. We offer both indoor and outdoor bar service, and bartenders also serve tables. Join a great team in a fun, energetic environment!

Location: Forge & Vine – Groton, MA
Hours: Approximately 20–30 hours per week (Sunday and Monday availbity)
Compensation: $9 per hour + tips
 

Job Summary
As a member of our Food & Beverage Team, you will ensure guests have an exceptional experience by providing quality customer service, mixing and responsibly serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, processing payments accurately, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked bar. You will work closely with restaurant management, kitchen staff, and fellow team members to help deliver a dining experience that exceeds expectations.
Essential Job Functions

  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance with a clean, proper uniform.
  • Set up and fully stock the bar before service; clean and close according to property standards.
  • Assist with ongoing bar inventory, including wines, beers, liquors, and supplies.
  • Greet guests warmly, professionally, and in a timely manner.
  • Answer questions about beverages and menus; identify opportunities to upsell.
  • Understand Massachusetts liquor laws and responsible alcohol service practices.
  • Mix and serve beverages according to recipes and standards while avoiding overpours and waste.
  • Complete the affidavit required by the MA Department of Public Safety Liquor Licensing and Inspection Division.
  • Accurately enter and communicate guest orders using POS or manual systems.
  • Deliver beverages efficiently and ensure presentation meets quality standards.
  • Clear tables and clean glassware, barware, and dishes.
  • Collaborate with servers and bussers to ensure guest needs are consistently met.
  • Assist guests with additional requests or service corrections.
  • Prepare and present guest checks; process payments and handle cash accurately.
  • Understand tip reporting requirements.
  • Safely operate restaurant equipment (coffee makers, refrigeration, juice machines, ice machines, POS systems, etc.).
  • Handle special orders and guest concerns professionally.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with MA Department of Health regulations and OSHA guidelines.
  • Report broken equipment or unsafe/unsanitary conditions promptly.
