Approved for Case Managers and Social Workers in CT, MA, NH & NY; and for Nurses in MA
Often, when people speak about memory impairment, they generally use the phrases “Alzheimer’s disease” or “dementia” as umbrella terms for memory loss. The reality is that Alzheimer’s is just one specific dementia, and there are actually several common types of dementia that are known today. While there are similarities between all dementias, each is distinct and unique.
Upon completion of this course, participants will better understand:
•
Facts and figures about the most common dementias
•
Causes of the various forms
•
Symptoms associated with the various forms
•
How the type of dementia a person has affects the care approach and treatment
All attendees must be registered individually to receive the CE certificate.
