If you were lucky enough to catch Yoke Shire at their sold out Bull Run appearances on St. Patrick’s Day 2012 or 2013, then you know why we’re so excited to have them back this year! Yoke Shire has established themselves as New England’s Premiere Traditional Irish Music Group performing at prominent Boston venues over the past few years including The Harp, The Hard Rock Café, Cheers and Faneuil Hall. Yoke Shire has also been a featured performer in The Boston Irish Festival for 4 years in a row, including headlining the show in 2015.
Brothers Craig and Brian Herlihy have combined their musical talents with their cultural heritage and created a fresh take on Irish music. Band leader Craig is a talented multi-instrumentalist who performs on piano, mandolin, tin whistle, melodica, bass guitar and sings. Together with Brian’s guitarwork and their trademark vocal harmonies, the duo deliver Irish Pub Favorites that will have you clapping & singing along.
Yoke Shire’s 2011 Irish CD “Awakening Celtic Spirits” was mastered at the renowned Gateway Studios by Grammy Award winning audio engineer Adam Ayan. The album has received praise from both fans and critics.
