During 2013 Ana has appeared on the cover of Vintage Guitar, Guitar Player's Gear Guide and American Blues Scene. Her album 'Can You Stand The Heat' was a "Pick Of The Week" by USA Today and featured on NPR Music. Nearly all of her albums made it the Top 5 of the Billboard Blues Charts and are being played regularly on US radio.
Yugoslavian-born blues rocker Ana Popovic, drawing from her impressive proficiency in a diversity of techniques and styles, has won fans the world over. Her blend of smoking electric funk slide guitar, jazzy instrumentals, tight blues groove, soulful feminine vocals and incredible stage presence makes her an irresistible force in the music world. Her career has been meteoric, and shows no signs of slowing down. She was the first European ever nominated for ‘Best New Blues Artist’ at the W.C. Handy Award Show in Memphis, Tennessee (2003). She was also nominated for 'Best Blues Album' at the Jammie Awards in New York City, a three way nominee for 'Best Vocalist', 'Best Guitarist'and 'Best Album' at the French Blues Awards (2002) and she won the prestigious jazz award 'Jazz A Juan revelation In Juan Le Pins' (France 2004). Ana is a 4-time Music Blues Award nominee: - Best New Blues Artist (2003) - DVD Of The Year (2010 - An Evening at Trasimeno Lake) - Contemporary Blues Album (2011 - Unconditional) - Contemporary Blues Female Artist (2012).
