The president of the Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce, Melissa Fetterhoff, IOM, has been named the 2022 CEO of the Year by the New England Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (NEACCE).
Fetterhoff was recognized by her peers for exhibiting leadership in a variety of areas including staff development, collaboration in the community, and the ability to overcome organizational challenges. Fetterhoff received the award during the NEACCE Annual Conference on November 8th in Newport, R.I. An active member since 2007, Fetterhoff has served on the NEACCE board of directors since 2015 and served as board chair in 2020-2021. Fetterhoff also serves on the board of the Massachusetts Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (MACCE).
Tim Sink, president of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, presented the award to Fetterhoff. In his remarks, Sink noted that Fetterhoff’s leadership “has been an asset to the NEACCE Board.” Fetterhoff has spearheaded NEACCE’s Chamber Exchange, an opportunity for Chambers across New England to share resources while providing support to each other.
“I am deeply honored and very humbled in being chosen by a body of my peers at NEACCE, who represent the best of the best in Chamber management in all of New England. My commitment and ability to lead the Nashoba Valley Chamber is enhanced by the invaluable resources afforded by NEACCE and its members.” said Fetterhoff.
NEACCE provides professional growth and development opportunities for chamber executives from the six New England states, working together to foster excellence in chamber leadership. It serves as a networking and professional development resource for chamber executives and staff who connect via conferences, social media, newsletter and meetings.
At the helm of the Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce since 2007 Fetterhoff is committed to supporting its members' growth and success along with the development of a positive economic climate. She has spearheaded many programs that offer its members rich opportunities in networking, education and support. Signature events under Fetterhoff’s leadership include the “Breakfast with the Boss” and “Women in Business” series and the signature and highly popular “Taste of Nashoba,” which showcases local restaurants, caterers, gourmet and ethnic markets, wineries, brew houses and purveyors of fine liquors offering delicious samples of food and beverages.
