To succeed in this role, you will need the ability to prioritize and execute on various IT initiatives concurrently while working both independently and as part of the team to achieve department goals. Developing documentation for new projects, problem resolution and in place systems/architecture is also a strong focus for the IT Infrastructure team and this role. If you are creative, driven, and excited about the opportunity to make a difference, then we want to talk with you. 

 

General Responsibilities: 

  • Provide technical support and systems administration for all local and remote IT Infrastructure, associated equipment and systems
  • Monitor system and network performance.  This entails reporting status to management regularly on security, configuration and utilization as well as immediately reporting a failure or outage
  • Create flowcharts, diagrams, and other documentation to clarify and clearly define processes and structure of network and information systems
  • Provide rotated on-call support and outside business hours work as needed by the organization to support current initiatives and ensure 24x7 operations
  • Travel to branch locations as needed to install, troubleshoot and maintain remote systems and equipment

 

What you’ll need to be successful: 

  • Advanced technical knowledge of Microsoft Server/Active Directory/DNS/DHCP, application servers, and VMWare vSphere required
  • Advanced technical knowledge of Cisco Meraki environments and underlying networking concepts as well as a general knowledge of Cisco IOS is required
  • Technical knowledge and experience with SD-WAN solutions and implementations – VMware Velocloud experience preferred
  • Technical knowledge of a hybrid Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory environment
  • Ability to independently execute projects including conceptualization, design, planning, and execution
  • Advanced technical knowledge of hardware including but not limited to server, desktop, infrastructure/network and mobile computer equipment 
  • Advanced support and applied technical ability for VMware ESXi virtual servers and virtual environments
  • Must have demonstrated ability to install, configure, diagnose, and resolve issues and failures relating to hardware and software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required
  • VCP certification is preferred
  • Bonus skills are knowledge of VMware NSX-T, Microsoft SCCM and SQL Server
