Job summary
This position is responsible for building a channel network from the ground up. The Channel Manager will represent wireless monitoring products by interfacing with new qualifying partners. This is a high-energy position to help manage the on-boarding, growth, and development of key reseller partners. As an early member of this fast-growing channel organization, your primary responsibility will be to develop and nurture a defined-set of reseller partners so as to exceed an assigned revenue target.
 
• Assist resellers with organizational skills, account strategies, territory planning and administrative responsibilities to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained
• Develop and increase sales revenue to meet assigned targets
• Become actively involved in a new reseller’s sales orientation and sales training programs
• Act as a resource to resellers in contract opportunities and proposals
• Assist resellers with contract negotiations, closing the sale and developing marketing plans for contract accounts
• Identify new opportunities to showcase company products and develop key contacts
• Interact with distribution networks, assist with product information, quotes and orders
• Present and sell company products and services to customers and field sales representatives
• Effectively communicate important issues or potential problems to appropriate management or team members
• Maintain database, import, revise and update contact information and status of quotes and orders
• Follow up with successful and non-successful quotes and opportunities
• Select, evaluate and participate in trade shows and industry events
• Increase familiarity with competitive technical products and services
• Coordinate and participate in sales meetings with management, sales staff and other departments
• Participate in customer audits as necessary
• Select, evaluate and utilize sales literature and marketing materials
• Provide product training to sales staff and customers
• All other duties as assigned
 
Education/Experience
• BS in business management, marketing or sales
• 4-5 years’ experience in channel development 
• 4-5 years’ experience or proven background in a technical services field

• Honesty, integrity and confidentiality 
• Detail oriented
• Self-starter and independent worker
• Proficient with Windows Office suite and database management
• ISO 9001, ISO 17025, GMP and GLP familiarity
 
Physical Demands
• Drug testing
• Inoculations may be required
• Significant travel required, estimated 50% local travel, 25% long distance travel
• Valid driver’s license
• Work environment is typically general office, customer sites and exhibits
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
