We have a small team of warehouse associates in our Ayer, MA distribution center and we’re growing fast. You’ll have access to training and development as you work closely with your supervisor and teammates. Here, you are not just a number. As our Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for all basic warehouse functions including order picking, wrapping/staging trailers and loading and unloading materials on the trailers.
Essential Job Duties:
- Pick Production materials and place product into proper required locations.
- Process inbound and outbound trailers.
- Receive inbound purchase orders through DSI into JD Edwards.
- Consistently meet or exceed set department goals.
- Maintain housekeeping standards within the warehouse including, sweeping, and emptying trash barrels.
- Understand all safety rules and procedures and follow them at all times.
Job Requirements:
- High school education or equivalent.
- Two to three years of Warehouse experience strongly recommended.
- Ability to drive and operate the company box truck when needed.
- Experience with operating material handling equipment, including stand up reach trucks and electric pallet jacks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment effectively.
- Must be willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedules.
- Bar Coding experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills (Effectively understand and communicate in English).
- Trained in Good Manufacturing Practices, basic allergen handling, wash down procedures, food defense and HACCP.
- Ability to work in a cold storage environment is essential. Suits, gloves, boots, and hats are provided.
Physical Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to perform work functions in negative 15-degree environment.
- Ability to stand and walk on concrete floor for prolonged periods.
- Frequent bending, lifting and twisting for extended periods.
- The ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
