BASIC FUNCTIONS
THE SANITATION TECHNICIAN IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CLEANING OF ALL AREAS OF THE BULDINGS AND GROUNDS. THIS POSITION IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING ALL CLEANING IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH SQF/FOOD SAFETY AND HACCP GUIDELINES THROUGHT THE ENTIRE PROCESS.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes, but is not limited to the following:
1. CLEAN ALL AREAS OF THE BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS FOLLOWING THE PROPER PROCEDURES
2. ENSURE ALL CLEANING IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH SQF/FOOD SAFETY AND HACCP GUIDELINES
3. COMPLETE ALL REQUIRED PAPERWORK ACCURATLY AND IN A TIMELY MANNER
4. FOLLOW ALL GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES (GMP’S) AT ALL TIMES
5. WEAR ALL REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT(PPE) AND WORK IN A SAFE MANNER AT ALL TIMES
6. SAFELY OPERATE ALL SANITATION EQUIPMENT AS TRAINED
7. PERFORM PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE ON SANITATION EQUIPMENT AS NEEDED
8. EFFECTIVLY COMMUNICATE WITH SANITATION MANAGER ANY ISSUES OR CONCERNS IN A TIMELY MANNER
9. ASSEMBLE AND DISASSEMBLE EQUIPMENT IN A SAFE MANNER
10. COMMINICATE SAFETY ISSUES TO MANAGER OF SUPERVISOR ON DUTY AS THEY ARRISE
11. COMMUNICATE WITH ALL DEPARTMENTS AS NEEDED
12. ASSIST WITH BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS AS DIRECTED
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
HS DEGREE/GED OR EQUVILANT WORK EXPERIENCE
2 YEARS CLEANING EXPERIENCE PREFERABLY IN A FOOD MANUFACTURING SETTING
ABILITY TO READ AND COMPREHEND PROCEDURES, WORK ORDERS, SAFETY DATA SHEETS, AND OTHER TRAINING MATERIALS AS RELATED TO FOOD MANUFACTURING AND SAFETY
BASIC KNOWLEDGE AND OPERATION OF CLEANING EQUPMENT LISTED UNDER EQUIPMNET USED SECTION
BASIC MECHNICAL APTITUDE, INCLUDING THE ABILITY TO DISASSEMBLE AND REASSEMBLE EQUIPMENT AND PERFORM PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE AS NEEDED
ABILITY TO MOVE FROM ONE TASK TO THE NEXT AND BACK AS NEEDED WITH MINIMAL DOWNTIME AND SUPERVISION
ABILITY TO FILL OUT REQUIRED PAPERWORK WITH DETAILED NOTES AND COMMUNICATION
ABILTY TO VERBALLY COMMUNICATE ISSUES, CONCERNS, AND NEEDS AS NEEDED
