Shriver Job Corps - RECREATION SPECIALIST
|ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION||Alternate Perspectives, Incorporated (API) has an immediate opening at our Contracted Job Corps Location. As a Recreation team member, you will be responsible for expanding their knowledge on basic health and wellness as well as support the students in their off-hour activities. In this role you, assist the team in monthly activity planning that takes place for the students after the training day. These activities cover anything from on center such as basketball, football, weight training, arts and crafts and anything entertainment related as well as off-center activities such as go-karting, movie trips and shopping trips for the students. (COVID safe of course). Best part is you also get to participate with the students in whatever activity you’re coordinating that day. Reports to the Recreation/ Evening Studies Coordinator. Responsible for the administration and monitoring of students engaged in recreation and leisure learning programs and activities, including center-sponsored activities and events on-center and off-center in compliance with Department of Labor (DOL) and management directives.
It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
