POSITION: Junior Process Technician
SUPERVISOR: Senior Process Engineer
POSITION SCOPE AND PURPOSE: A ‘hands on’ position focused on the set up of the mold and related equipment in support of daily activities in molding operations including line clearance and related paperwork. Individuals in this position are learning the basics of injection molding.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs all functions of mold changeovers, including installation of secondary and automated equipment
Maintain cleanliness, organization, identification and storage of equipment related to mold setting functions including company supplied tooling, secondary equipment, including chutes, conveyors and mold temperature controllers in their proper locations.
Assist in general maintenance as necessary.
Regular attendance and professionalism.
Participate in mold startups as knowledge base increases
OTHER POSITION DUTIES:
Maintain adequate stock of setup supplies by communicating need to responsible individual
Maintain high level of organization and cleanliness of mold set up cart.
Ensure safe work practices in all assigned tasks
Assist with mold work orders to insure repairs are properly addressed
Interact with Quality, Tool Room, Maintenance and Engineering to solve day-to-day manufacturing issues.
Other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Associates Degree.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in set up of molds and installation of secondary and automated equipment.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

Ability to work for extended periods sitting and looking at computer while completing repetitive motions to include substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; reviewing detailed information; viewing a computer terminal; and expansive reading.
The ability to manage a number of projects at one time with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines.

Repetitive Motions: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment and to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
The worker is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions, noise, vibration, hazards and atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation
EQUIPMENT USED: Computer, printer, telephone/cell phone, calculator, molds and related equipment, manufacturing equipment and machines, and fax machine.

SUPERVISION OF PEOPLE: This position does not supervise employees.
