The Housekeeper is responsible for  keeping the premises of Doctor Franklin Perkins School, buildings and other facilities in clean and orderly condition and participates in and supports our on-call system by performing the following duties:
  • Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas.
  • Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors.  Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
  • Dust furniture and equipment. Polish metalwork.
  • Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork. Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to disposal area.
  • Replenish bathroom supplies. Replace light bulbs
  • Perform daily safety surveys to ensure no hazardous conditions exist.
Physical Demands:
  • The employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee frequently is required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of experience, preferred
  • Valid driver’s license

Monday – Friday, 2:00pm – 10:30pm
