What you will do?

The Hardware Engineering Manager is a highly visible leadership role that brings strong product development experience and technical strength related to security hardware products that are on rapid growth trajectory (TAM of $14B). You will partner with product and technology teams to ensure Access Control Video Surveillance product deployment are delivered timely and achieve the business objectives for our customers. If you have a positive attitude, are process driven, metrics oriented, engaging and possess a goal-oriented management style and are comfortable working with multi-functional global teams, this could be a fit for you! This position is based in Westford, MA

How you will do it

  • Driving new products from conception through product launch

  • Lead, coach and motivate HW team to achieve success and grow.

  • Provide proactive solutions to meet the needs and growth of the business. 

  • Lead electrical and mechanical design, product optimization efforts, prototyping, and verification testing

  • Own design reviews and final drawing release signature.

  • Support production, parts substitution & obsolescence research.

  • Support outsourced testing.

  • Innovative technology Research and Development.

  • Quality Assurance systems support.

  • Ability to lead a direct and/or indirect cross functional Engineering team.

What you will need
Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university required, master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 8+ years of related electrical/hardware engineering architecture experience with new product development.

  • Ability to contribute to design details and mentor team members.

  • Understanding of Regulatory Agency requirements; UL, FCC, EMI/EMC.

  • 3+ years leading cross-functional, global teams within a matrix organization.

  • Excellent financial competence and discipline around forecasting, planning, and reporting.
