What you will do:
Be part of a team that works directly with adults with disabilities in a busy Day Habilitation Program. Assess each individual’s strengths and skills in daily living, safety, and therapeutic needs. Help create support plan for each individual and document progress towards goals. Along with team, design weekly schedules and implement designated activities.
Assist individuals with physical needs as necessary, including use of the restroom, lifting, transferring, feeding, walking, and emergency evacuation.
Help individuals participate in a variety of meaningful activities to increase functional independence and quality of life. Support them to be active members of the community.
Your qualifications:
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to serve and support individuals with disabilities.
Valid Driver’s License and acceptable 3-year driving record.
Ability or willingness to be trained to drive large passenger vans.
Your education and/or experience:
College degree or coursework is desirable but not essential. Minimum of one year of experience in a Day Services program for adults with developmental disabilities preferred.
