BRANCH OPERATIONS MANAGER

At American Alarm our only mission is to protect people, their homes, and businesses, with electronic security systems and 24-7 alarm monitoring. Everyone in our company contributes to that mission by doing their job effectively. Today we are recruiting for an experienced Branch Operations Manger for our Auburn, MA location. Summary of duties and responsibilities
Oversees all branch departments with the primary focus being quality of installations, tests, inspections and repairs performed at customer site to ensure the highest standard of quality and safety and the realization of Branch financial objectives. Assigns tasks and projects as necessary. Reviews accuracy of completed paperwork and documents. Establishes and manages budgets for Branch and ensures that staff, costs and deployment are within budget. Oversees the administration of performance reviews, corrective actions, and hiring of team members for the Branch.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees and coordinates all branch employees for policies and communications while working closely with all corporate department heads to help facilitate a positive branch environment with strong financial results.
- Oversees inspection and reporting processes for all American Alarm systems. Systemically measures and reports on quality levels and implements timely corrective actions and process improvements.
- Oversees the scheduling and installation of residential and commercial intrusion, fire, access and video systems ensuring that allocation of resources and the availability of materials to meet installation deadlines and quality installation. - Oversees branch warehouse and works closely with Supply Chain Manager to promote high cycle counts while maintaining an “On-demand” warehouse environment.
- Recommends changes to Branch policies, procedures and guidelines that would further the profitability, growth, development and professionalism of the Branch team with a goal of superior customer satisfaction. Be an advocate for the Branch team by making sure they have the resources needed to carry out their daily tasks i.e. tools, training, helpers, etc. Be a "go-to" resource for colleagues as a primary daily responsibility. Contribute to technical and business knowledge base and encourage others to do so.
- Assists and advises customers in intrusion, fire, access and video systems operation. Responds to customer questions and requests. Recommend corrective services to adjust customer complaints. Diffuses difficult and complex customer issues.
- Provides routine support visits to key accounts. Builds and maintains working relations with the sales staff. Performs site visits with sales consultants at existing or potential clients. Takes responsibility for new projects from first walk through to final sign off and hand offs to service.
- Defines the scope of add-ons and change orders, seeks customer approval and writes up paperwork. Recommends ways to use additional features and capabilities of system installations.
- Responsible for administering, communicating and complying with all company policies and procedures and recommends changes to promote profitability, customer satisfaction and team development.
- Ensures that inventory on hand meets project requirements within budgetary restrictions.
- Maintains a healthy work atmosphere within the Branch among all employees. Ensures and Open Door Policy and maintains “accessibility” for all employees.
- Oversees the fleet, investigates accidents, interfaces with Human Resources as required.
- Provides accurate, detailed and timely paperwork and reports to management. Reviews timecards and oversees/approves the assignment of overtime.
- Administers performance reviews based on productivity, quality, attendance, job profit and technical advancements. Oversees the hiring and administration of corrective actions for Branch team members.
- Other duties as required by management.
Education
- Electronics degree or equivalent work experience in the electronics field is required. .
- Continuous manufacturer's specialized training.
Experience
- Knowledge of installing, testing, inspecting and repairing intrusion, fire, access, and video systems including large or complex integrated systems.
- Previous supervisory experience would be helpful.
- General understanding of networks.
- Experience successfully managing multiple tasks simultaneously and work well with other people.
- 10+ years of American Alarm experience
License/Certification
- ESNT Network Certificate, Massachusetts Electricians Journeyman “B” or System Technician “D” license, or equivalent in other states. F1 Boston Fire Department Alarm License Valid Driver's License Manufacturing Certifications and/or training Industry Certifications e.g. NICET Fire Alarm (or equivalent in other states), EST, NTS/NBFAA Boston F1 and other municipal permits Also Mass security and DOD clearance. Project Management Certification preferred.
Physical requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time and travel by car. Some overnight travel required.
