Position Overview:
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day financial activities of Perkins-RFK, including but not limited to:  bookkeeping, accounting systems, cash management, accounts payable, payroll, and complying with the Division of Health Care Finance and Policy reporting structure. This position will also provide daily supervision of employees performing accounts payable and payroll functions.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of AP, payroll and cash management.
  • Manage corporate credit card system and process.
  • Track and oversee the billing for all Federal and other grants.
  • Coordinate both the annual and 403(b) plan audits.
  • Maintain and control bank balances to maximize earnings on cash flow.
  • Prepare all required tax returns including: 5500 and Schedule A (Pension), 990 Federal Return for Exempt Organizations, Form PC MA Division of Public Charities Return, Form 3ABC Return of Property Held for Charitable Purposes.
  • Ensure compliance of all School policies and procedures regarding financial matters.
  • Comply with various agency record retention policies.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all vendors, agencies, and professional consultants who work with the Doctor Franklin Perkins School and Robert F Kennedy Children’s Action Corps.
  • Perform other selected tasks as assigned.
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university.
  • Five years professional accounting experience.
  • Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior supervisory experience required.

Monday – Friday, Day shift
