Current Vaccination (including Bivalent Booster) is an eligibility requirement for all positions unless in case of religious or medical exemption.  

Summary: Assists the Division Director in the Day Habilitation program in implementing developmental skill training and social/recreational activities in a variety of settings to meet each person’s individual goals. Supervises assigned direct support staff members in addition to providing direct support to assigned individuals.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-4pm

Essential Functions:

  • Develops, implements and monitors applicable service plans and clinical support strategies using Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) guidelines.
  • Serves as the primary contact for an assigned caseload.
  • Collaborates with the Division Director and senior leadership in the coordination and execution of agency and program goals.
  • Provide input and assistance in determining intake, transfer, and discharge decisions regarding individuals by utilizing program services.
  • Supervises, supports, trains and mentors assigned direct support staff.
  • Works closely with the interdisciplinary team to monitor progress of program members.
  • Assists in planning and implementation of developmental skills training.
  • May provide transfers for individuals who use wheelchairs using safe lifts and transfer.
  • Enhances and promotes The Arc of Opportunity’s strategic initiatives, overall brand, and organizational mission and values through positive promotion and representation while actively engaging in professional networking.
  • Maintains required certifications and re-certifications as required and in accordance with agency, State and Federal guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record and CORI is required at all times during employment with The Arc of Opportunity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a human service-related field.
  • Fluent in Spanish preferred.
  • At least 6 months experience working in a training program for persons with developmental disabilities.
