Sr. Manager, Marketing - Social Media
Constant Contact is seeking a strategic and creative individual to lead its social media team. Through a best-in-class social media strategy, this individual will determine how to best use social media to drive brand awareness, engage current and prospective customers and tell the Constant Contact story in a way that is compelling and breakthrough. This person will work collaboratively with our in-house roster of talented creatives, our acquisition media team and internal stakeholders across the business to ensure that social media is advancing both brand and overall business goals.
This person will lead a team and collaborate with others to develop creative briefs and social media programs that are inspiring and lead to excellent work. They will fully own the content calendar, appearance of and brand presence of all major social channels. Qualified applicants must have direct leadership experience in social media, either at an agency or in-house, and be ready to drive social programs from start to finish, and a track record of executing integrated marketing campaigns in which social plays a crucial role.
What you’ll do:
Craft and maintain a social media strategy, based in data and insights, that is designed to best meet overall Constant Contact business goals, including: channel strategy (including existing and new channel opportunities), content pillars, and success metrics
Provide a strong, informed POV on the role of social media in our marketing mix and what is new/next in social, including testing new channels and appealing to new user behaviors
Own the content calendar and profile pages for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, as well as new and emerging channels as needed
Craft compelling and inspiring creative briefs that result in social content that is breakthrough, on-brand, and best-in-class
Set the strategy and oversee execution in areas of influencer marketing, community management and reputation management, in collaboration with respective stakeholders within the business
Partner closely with team members in charge of paid social media planning and execution to ensure performance is optimized to goals
Collaborate with analytics team to define social media metrics and an ongoing reporting structure that demonstrates the value social media brand marketing provides to the business
Own the operationalization of social media, ensuring that our processes and tools enable quick and efficient execution
Act as a subject matter expert for social media within the Constant Contact brand
Who you are:
8+ years of experience in social media strategy
You know social media is a team effort and have a history of successfully collaborating with creatives, media planners, key stakeholders and the platforms themselves to execute a best-in-class strategy
Demonstrated leadership skills and experience driving adoption of new ideas and rallying support for an initiative
You have a strong point of view on social media best practices, best-in-class tools and platforms
Equally comfortable in the worlds of strategy and execution to bring a vision to life
2+ years of experience managing direct reports, helping to develop their skillsets and career paths
Self-starter who can operate with limited oversight but knows when to escalate or ask for assistance
Experience with social media strategy for top-tier brands preferred (agency or in-house)
Experience with executing an influencer marketing program
Experience working directly with social media platforms
Bachelor’s degree
