On-Call Homecare and Hospice Registered Nurse
Job Summary: We currently have an opening for an On-Call Homecare/Hospice Registered Nurse. The evenings to be covered are Monday evening through Friday evening from 4:30 pm to 8:00 am Saturday morning. This position is primarily remote unless a patient visit is needed during on-call hours.
The right candidate will provide: On-call services for Home Health and Hospice patients as the calls are received through the answering service · Triage calls and determine if a visit is needed to be made after discussion with the patient or patient’s family · Report to scheduled evening/night visits or admissions · Keep an ongoing log (as provided by Hospice and Palliative Care Director) of all patient telephone calls and visits made during 4:30 pm to 8:00 am.
This is considered a weekly position and will be paid at a base weekly rate (minimum $1,000.00/week) plus per-visit rate for making home visits. There is an opportunity to work per-visit and that would be during the day when not on-call and if any visits are available, not required, only if desired.
Job Requirements: Current RN MA Licensure, 1 to 2 years Hospice Experience, 1 to 2 years Home Health Experience, Valid driver's license, Ability to learn and be proficient with required documentation software.
